After many years of
exhibiting throughout the North of England, Whitby born Christine left her
career in communications in 1997 to paint full time, opening her own gallery in
the town in 1998. After almost ten years of running the gallery in Church
Street, she sold it in 2007 to enable her to spend more time on her own work.
Other outlets and exhibitions include, The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition,
The Royal Institute Of Oil Painters, The Royal Society Of Marine
Artists, a group show at Eton College, and she is now a regular
exhibitor at the annual Henley Royal Regatta. |

Christine paints in
both oil and watercolour, most of her paintings being completed on-location.
With a longstanding passion for antique paintings, Christine always had a
display of works on show in the gallery, she continues to be active in this
field, hence there will usually be a selection of pictures available on this
website.
Christine's old gallery,
now 'Trattles and
Geal', still displays and sells her work.
